Why Direct Care?
Mara Dermatology has been our dream in the making since 2022. When we made the choice to study and practice medicine, our vision was to care for patients the way we would care for our own family members, using the most modern tools and research we had available. But as insurance demands grew, we were faced with long wait times, hurried visits, and administrative burdens that ultimately took us away from patient care.
We founded Mara Dermatology as a direct response to the changing landscape of medicine. By removing the weight of insurance, we are able to return back to our original intention: restoring the patient physician relationship and focusing on each individual.

Dr. Mazza is incredibly thorough, compassionate, skilled, and professional. She puts you at ease immediately and spends time getting to know you and your concerns. At no point have I ever felt rushed in her appointments. She is personable, and has a friendly and comforting presence. She even had me laughing as she removed a concerning patch of skin for a biopsy (and left no scar). She is truly fabulous!
