New patient visits generally range from 20-30 minutes with prices between $200-$300. These prices are based on examples/guidelines. Actual visit price will be dependent on additional procedures and counseling time necessary. 

Medical Dermatology

New Patient,  Comprehensive  $300

- Full body skin exam 
- Evaluation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations for 2 medical concerns
- Appointment time approximately 30 minutes

New Patient, Focused  $200

- Evaluation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations for 1 medical concern 
- Appointment times range from 15-20 minutes

Established Patient, Comprehensive $200

- Full body skin examination
- Follow up of 1-2 medical concerns
- Appointment time approximately 15-20 minutes

Established Patient, Focused $150

- Follow up of 1 medical concern
- Appointment time approximately 10-15 minutes

Skin Cancer Screening Exam $175

- Full body skin exam to evaluate for skin cancer
- Appointment time approximately 15 min

Spot Check $75

- Evaluation of a single lesion of concern
- (rashes are not a spot check and should be booked as a medical concern)
- Appointment time is generally about 10 minutes

Hair Loss/Thinning Consultation  $300

-Thorough review of medical & treatment history
-Scalp and relevant body examination with discussion of treatment options 
-One punch biopsy and microscopic examination as indicated 


*Hair thinning/loss can be a complex condition. At Mara Dermatology we take the time to get to the root cause of hair loss, and sometimes this can include review of bloodwork, planning biopsies and a discussion of the treatment possibilities that are available. For this reason we dedicate entire visits to hair loss so that we can best address all concerns and provide comprehensive answers.  

Cryotherapy (Liquid Nitrogen), benign lesions $75+

- For example, warts, skin tags. seborrheic keratoses
- $75 for <15 lesions, $100 for >15 lesions

Cryotherapy, precancerous lesions $100+

- actinic keratoses
- $100 for 1-10 lesions, $150 for >10 lesions

Injection of Skin Lesions $100+

- For example, acne cysts, hypertrophic scars, areas of hair loss
- $100 for 0-10 lesions, $150 for >10

Incision and Drainage of Cutaneous Abscess $250

- This includes the price for draining an infected skin lesion. Please note that a bacterial culture will need to be sent and this will be a separate charge that can be billed to your insurance but may result in an additional fee.

Shave Biopsy $100

- This is a procedure used to remove a skin lesion for further analysis. Of note: a separate pathology fee will be incurred. This can be billed to your insurance but may result in an additional fee.

Punch Biopsy $150

- This is a procedure used to remove a small sample of skin for further analysis. Of note: a separate pathology fee will be incurred. This can be billed to your insurance but may result in an additional fee.

Punch Excision $200

- This is a procedure used to remove a small subcutaneous nodule (<1cm), such as a cyst or lipoma. Of note: a separate pathology fee will be incurred. This can be billed to your insurance but may result in an additional fee.

Surgical Dermatology

Electrodessication & Curettage (ED&C)  $200

- This is a treatment for some types of superficial skin cancers, that involves a procedure to scrape the edges and the base of a biopsy site.

Excision, Cyst or Lipoma $300

-Surgical excision of a benign lesion includes the excision procedure, repair with stitches and subsequent suture removal. Of note: a separate pathology fee will be incurred. This can be billed to your insurance but may result in an additional fee.

Excision, Benign Mole $300

- Surgical excision of a benign mole includes the excision procedure, repair with stitches and subsequent suture removal. Of note: a separate pathology fee will be incurred. This can be billed to your insurance but may result in an additional fee.

Excision, Malignancy $400+

- Surgical excision of a malignant lesion includes the excision procedure, repair with stitches and subsequent suture removal. Final cost will depend on the size of the lesion. Of note: a separate pathology fee will be incurred. This can be billed to your insurance but may result in an additional fee.

Cosmetic Dermatology

Neuromodulators (ie. Botox) $13/unit

- Neuromodulators include Botox

Dermal Fillers (ie. Juvederm) $750/syringe

Dermal fillers are injectable gels that are used to improve the appearance of the skin by reducing the signs of aging and adding volume. They can be used to treat wrinkles, scars, and hollow areas in the face and hands. 

Microneedling $375

- Add on procedures such as PRP can increase cost and will be quoted prior to procedure

Chemical peels $300+

- Different peels are available depending on patient need and cost will be provided prior to procedure
